Kyutech held 'International Friendship Party 2024' on December 6th.
Kyutech hosts this annual party to deepen exchanges among all international students and researchers from 3 campuses, and their supporters inside and outside of Kyutech. There were about 170 participants and they all had a great time at the party.
The student from Malaysia of Iizuka International Student Association emceed the party. Following the opening address by Prof. Dr. Mitani, President of Kyutech, the Egyptian student of Wakamatsu campus expressed his thoughts as an international student and his appreciation for people who support Kyutech International Students.
After the opening ceremony, the participants started chatting and enjoyed food and drinks. Besides halal curry and fried chicken, especially “Oden”, a Japanese food that is popular in winter, had a good reputation among participants. The highlight of this party was the performances by the representatives from each campus. They performed the introduction of their home country and a poem, juggling with music, and songs from multiple countries. Also, the audience tried a music game in which challengers listen to the songs and guess what country it comes from or which language is used. When the challengers got the correct answer despite they heard the songs for the first time, erupted into cheers at the venue.
It was a good opportunity for the international students and researchers to meet with someone from other campuses and the guests through this party.
