From January 19 to 25, 2025, students and faculty from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang visited Kyushu Institute of Technology to participate in the Sakura Science Program “Collaborative Robotics PBL Practice and Curriculum Development through Student Exchange”
Participants engaged in academic exchange in this program by collaborating with Kyushu Institute of Technology students to develop robots. The robots, co-developed online since October, were showcased in a competition on January 24. The students utilized their technical skills and knowledge, demonstrating teamwork and creativity.
Mr. Kosol Satithamajit, the Thai Consul-General in Fukuoka, also attended the competition to encourage the students.
During the program, participants visited laboratories at the Kyushu Institute of Technology and toured the Toyota Kyushu Miyata plant, deepening their understanding of advanced technologies. They also experienced Japanese culture through activities such as tea ceremony and yukata dressing, allowing them to appreciate traditional Japanese culture alongside their technical studies. Through this program, participants gained valuable experiences that enhanced their cross-cultural understanding and broadened their international perspectives.
